“It is only by selection, by elimination, that we get at the real meaning of things.”

— Georgia O’Keeffe

Founded in 2018, Treverk Woodturning takes its name from the Norwegian words tre (wood) and verk (craft).

The work begins with the material itself: rugged roots, richly grained burl, and hardwoods like walnut, oak, maple, and myrtle. Each piece is approached as a collaboration between craft and wood, honoring grain, voids, and imperfections rather than correcting them. When epoxy appears, it is used with restraint, not to conceal fracture but to acknowledge it.

The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind vessels and forms for people who value craftsmanship, character, and the quiet pull of handmade objects.
